Wish List

With the end of our record-setting rains this winter in sight, we here at the Lodge are looking toward warmer days and the events we have planned for this time of year. Several of our Cottages are scheduling camping trips this summer to the Mammoth Mountain area as well as to Carpinteria State Beach , to provide the opportunity for our boys to experience the camaraderie, freedom, and fun inherent in these outings. We also hope to go fishing, horseback riding, and sailing, with the help of some of our generous sponsors and friends. A few of the more adventurous residents have even been asking me to coordinate our yearly 16 mile hike to Sunset Beach…apparently the blisters, muscle ache and fatigue from last year has been forgotten. To enhance these activities as well as others we have scheduled, we are always open to receiving support or donations that go directly to enriching the boys of Pacific Lodge. The following is a list of items that we are looking for:

•  Boogie Boards

•  Inner Tubes

•  Swim Masks

•  Swim Goggles

•  Swim Fins

•  Large Beach Towels

•  Beach Games

•  Kites and String

•  R. C. Cars and Trucks

•  Model Planes/ Gliders

•  Fishing equipment

•  Camping supplies

•  Football/ Soccer ball

•  Hackeysacks

•  Gift Certificates (Sport Chalet, Chicks, Sportsmart )

•  Sponsorship to a 5k or 10k event

•  Running Shoes/ Clothing

Additional needs of the Cottages include:

(2) New Energy Efficient Refridgerators

(4) New Gas Stoves

(2) Sub-compact/hybrid fuel efficent vehicles

If you would like more information regarding donating items from our wish list, please contact Dee Dee Bush in the Development Department at 818-657-3106 or deedee.bush@plys.org.

As always, I want to send a thank you to all who help make the time our boys spend here at Pacific Lodge productive, meaningful, and memorable with their contributions, donations, and resources.

Warmest Regards,

Rob Beck
