PROVEN LEADERSHIP
Pacific Lodge has an enduring and successful record of addressing the evolving challenges presented by at-risk probation and foster care youths in Los Angeles County, and throughout California. Our proven program model is delivered and evaluated by a devoted staff, administration and board of directors who ensure that our boys receive the best in mental health and social services.
Evidence Based Practices
Pacific Lodge Youth Services’ treatment program is facilitated by a dedicated multi-disciplinary treatment team that includes psychiatrists, pediatricians, nurses, psychologists, social workers and LMFT's as well as licensed eligible clinicians. As part of the greater Los Angeles County Mental Health Provider network, our services utilize evidence based practices that include Aggression Replacement Training and Seeking Safety. These practices were developed specifically to provide growth and development for our high risk population that are struggling with the effects of trauma, grief & loss, gang violence, poverty and/or a failing family system.
Outcomes are an important part of evidence based practices. The outcomes we measure inform and guide each youth’s treatment planning. We are always developing new initiatives to meet the emerging needs of our clients.
Innovative Program Design
It is the mission of Pacific Lodge Youth Services to provide the skills necessary to encourage positive life choices and assist our residents in successful transitions back to the community. Our innovative strength-based model focuses on individual treatment goals and mastery of essential life skills. We work to preserve a positive peer culture that helps us achieve these goals.
Upon arrival, our residents are assessed and an individualized treatment plan is created. Our multi-disciplinary treatment team works with each client during their entire stay, offering consistency usually lacking in the home. Each client’s success in the program is based on achieving these personalized treatment goals through our “Phase System”.
Each phase of the Phase System requires clients to achieve goals in order to move forward.
Strategic Business Leadership
We believe that to truly change lives we must be good stewards and ambassadors of our community. Our leadership strategy maintains constant oversight of local, state and federal changes in regards to foster care and probation youths. In 2009, the state of California cut funding to foster care by approximately 10%. It is in the agency’s best interest to stay vigilant in overseeing the lasting effects of our current economic climate as it pertains to California’s foster and probation youths. Our staff and senior managers regularly attend trainings that keep us abreast of trends in residential treatment, mental health, best practices, fundraising and state and federal changes that affect our clients.
